The British Gent from Kent, Ben Hatfield joins Meraki Hospitality as a seasoned F&B pro with experience from across the globe including Australia, London, and Hong Kong. From Michelin starred fine dining to more casual concepts, he joins Meraki Family as Operations Manager of BEDU with a sharp nose for wine, an impressive sock collection perfectly paired to bold printed shirts. This local ramen junkie can be found off-duty crushing bowls of ramen or breaking a sweat at House of Fitness.

Joe joined us in 2017 as Commis chef. Our local treasure, his background and obsession with Japanese cuisine has seen his role develop to contribute more creatively as part of the senior chef team, now Sous Chef at UMA NOTA Hong Kong. If he isn't behind the pass, you'll find him at the local beaches catching waves or in Bali seeking swells.

Janina joined us in 2017 as a manager in training at UMA NOTA. She’s fast tracked through her roles as Assistant Manager and Operations Manager, and today leads the service team at JALAN living up to stereotype of German efficiency and precision. During her free time, you'll find her checking her Insta for new photos of cute hippos.
